Birds of a Feather

Another month, another post! Welcome back, everyone!

Today, we’re going to be taking a look at some of our feathered friends once again.

First, let’s take a look at Calimero. This is an Italian character that’s had a few animated series. So, basically, he’s a black chicken with half of his eggshell still on his head, and he goes on adventures with his friends, Priscilla, Piero, and Valeriano. Pretty straightforward stuff.

These pics are from the 1992 series, episode 36, ‘Notte ai grandi magazzini’, wherein they end up in a department store overnight (presumably the one Piero’s dad owns), and end up having to defend it against a group of rat thieves.

Next up, we have some pages from a Cow and Chicken comic. Unfortunately, I have no details about where it came from at this time.

Next up, we have a scene from Chocobo’s Dungeon 2, where the chocobo protagonist has to ditch a failing submarine to seek an entrance to a dungeon.

And finally, to end off today, a couple of shots from ‘Kirby: Right Back at Ya!’, from ‘A Fish Called Kine’, where Kine, the fish animal friend from the Kirby games, tries to romance Tiff, the show’s ‘sister’ figure, and of course, encounters issues with trying to court an air breather.

In the meantime, King Dedede is planning on making an undersea resort where Kine happens to live. In this scene, Dedede doesn’t appear very confident in the sub that he’s in…
