Request Megamix

Welcome back, everyone! Today’s the final week of the five year anniversary, so I’ll be doing a megamix of requests I’ve gotten over the years that were too small to warrant their own entries.

I got a request some time ago to cover Geronimo Stilton, so I’ll do that first here.

Geronimo Stilton, for those of you who don’t know, is actually the creation of Elisabetta Dami, the daughter of a publisher in Italy. She would create the series while working in a children’s hospital, after noting the lessons of Patch Adams.

First set we’ll look at is from ‘The Enormouse Pearl Heist’, wherein Geronimo helps find a massive pearl, publishes a story about it (he’s the editor of a newspaper), and deals with the fallout of said story.

Here’s the scene where he, along with Simon and Petunia (characters just for this story, I think) end up diving for this pearl. The cover is from the Italian version.

Next up, we have ‘The Search for Sunken Treasure’. Basically, it’s exactly what it says on the cover. Speaking of covers, there’s two of them here, the second a cover that ran in the UK, I think.

Next, we have a couple of sets from the Thea Stilton (Geronimo’s action oriented sister) spinoff, which stars her and her all-female team of adventurers. This first set is from Thea Stilton and the Ghost of the Shipwreck.

This pic is from ‘Treasure of the Viking Ship’.

Here’s a pic of a couple of randos from the 2nd edition of their ‘Vacaciones Para Todos’ workbooks.

Finally, here’s a random pic…

Only one I have with the characters’ TV show designs.

Alrighty, next up, we have Doraemon, a Japanese character who is a time travelling robotic cat. He, for whatever reason, decides to travel back from the 22nd century to help a boy named Nobita along with his life.

More details can be found at the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon

Mostly, I just have this group of miscellaneous pics.

I also have this very short set from episode 707 of the current anime, titled “Umi o hito kire kiritotte” (海をひときれ切りとって in Japanese).

Not exactly surprising that there’s not a lot of him, considering that he’s a robot, of course.

Alrighty, time to go back to Sesame Street! I know some of you have been wanting more of that.

We’ll start with some miscellaneous stuff. The coloring pages with Grover are from the ABC Activity Book, the Storytime Activity Book, and the Animal ABCs Book.

These next two sets are actually from the Arabic co-production ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’ and later ‘Ahlan SimSim’.

This one here depicts a game show with the local Big Bird, Nu’Man. presiding.

And the video…

Next, we have something of a Elmo’s World/Global Grover segment.

The video:

Finally, we have a set from The Furchester Hotel, something of a spinoff with Elmo and Cookie Monster in it. Starring Fergus and Funella, and their daughter Pheobe, they run a hotel (poorly) with usually different guests each episode, although there are some… long term bookings in there.

These are from ‘Leaky Room’, a season 2 episode where they host a fish family. They have a specialized aquarium suite, but, well… it’s not hard to guess what happens, huh?

Gotta say, you don’t see full body views a whole lot on the main show, so this is actually nice.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s any free vids on the episode around right now.

Next up, Tiny Toons! Many of you will know them, but if you’re a little young to remember them, it basically followed a bunch of teenage cartoon characters attending ACME Looniversity, hoping to follow in the footsteps of the Warner Brothers stars of old.

Big set for this one is from ‘Tiny Toon Music Television’, during a segment where Buster messes with Bugs’ scene creator tool.

..and quickly regrets it.

And the vid…

And here’s some hodgepodge, starring Plucky, Hamton, and Furball…

I apologize, because I don’t know where any of these come from.

Alright, to end the festivities here, we have the Animal Show With Stinky and Jake. One of the Hensons first attempts at an animal education show, Jake the polar bear and Stinky the skunk lead explorations into animals of the day, which visit them on set.

These are from the ‘Whale’ episode. Apologies for the poor quality.

And there we have it, folks! Thanks for coming to my little party this month! Next Friday will be the regular October entry, and then I’ll be returning to my normal monthly schedule.

Hope to see you then!
